Work in Bishopbriggs
Dashed from new, and now due
Most of Bishopbriggs went up after the war and through the sixties and seventies, in block, finished in roughcast from new.
Those coats are now at or past the end of their life, which is why the common job here is a full re-dash rather than a repair. By the time one elevation has clearly gone the others are rarely far behind.
Repairs round new windows
Where new frames have gone in, there is usually a damaged band round every opening because the old ones came out with some of the dash attached.
On a back wall, making those good on their own is sensible. On a front elevation a ring of fresh dash round every window stays visible for years, so re-dashing the whole elevation is usually the better value.
Inside work
The same housing gives the same interiors: textured ceilings, ceilings that have moved, and walls wanting skimming flat.

Straight answers
Questions about work in Bishopbriggs
Can you patch just round the windows?
We can, and on a rear elevation it is often the right answer. On the front it will not match, and that matters more than it sounds.
How do you know if the render is hollow?
We tap across it. Sound render rings and render that has let go sounds hollow. A wall can look perfect and be hollow across half of it.
