What we did
New windows nearly always leave a band of damage round every opening, because the old frames come out with some of the dash attached to them.
We made good round each opening first and then re-dashed the elevation in white and black so the repairs disappear. Patching alone would have left a ring of fresh dash round every window, slightly brighter than everything round it, for the next ten years.
