Exterior
We leave each job the way we would expect it in our own homes
Brown dry dash over painted brick renewed in white and black dry dash
Covering Renfrew, Paisley, Glasgow, Johnstone, Erskine and the towns round them
This one had been painted over at some point, which is what people usually do when the dash underneath has gone tired and patchy. Paint on roughcast buys you a couple of years and then it starts to flake, and every flake takes a bit of the old dash with it.
We took it back, made good where the old coat had blown, and re-dashed the whole house in a white and black mix. The black sills and the band course between the floors are the part most people notice. They are not an extra: picking out the detail is what stops a dashed house looking like one flat grey block.
The corner plot made it a bigger job than it looks, because two full elevations are on show from the road and anything left half matched would be obvious from the pavement.
