What we did
Not everybody wants dash. Smooth render on a house like this changes its decade: the same semi reads as something built far more recently.
The old dash came off, the wall was levelled, and a smooth render went on in white. Smooth is less forgiving than dash because there is no texture to hide a ripple in, so the flatness of the backing coat is the whole job.
