What we did
Brown roughcast that had gone darker than brown, which is mostly dirt and moss rather than the colour it was mixed to.
Re-roughcast in a light grey. On a sloping site like this one the scaffold and the access are half the planning, because the ground falls away under the gable and nothing stands level.
