What we did
The best looking job in this book, and the one that took the most care. Brown pebble dash off, cream render on, front and back, with the stone surrounds round the bays and the doors cleaned up and left showing.
Two windows had been blocked up at some point and the infill had never matched. Those were filled properly and rendered through, so the elevation reads as one wall instead of a wall with two scars in it.
Working round existing stone is slower than rendering a blank elevation. Every edge has to be cut to the stone and left clean, and there is no texture on a smooth render to hide an untidy line.
